The rising young star stepped straight
into action at the highest level and produced the form that gave him
such a lofty draft rating. Played 21 of a possible 22 games, being
rested once as part of Melbourne’s policy in developing young talent,
and finished second at the club in handballs (255) and loose-ball gets
(60). Used the ball well in space but was not afraid to get in and under
and was fourth for tackles with 81. Finished second in the NAB AFL
Rising Star award and has a long career ahead of him.
